Counties is a non-profit, nonpartisan, public interest organization
devoted exclusively to protecting the basic civil liberties of all Americans.
The mission of the ACLU is to assure that the protections of the Bill of Rights
are preserved and expanded. The ACLU is widely recognized as the nation’s
premier defender of individual rights and fundamental freedoms.
Position Title: Legal Intern
Position Description: Full-time position, depending
on need and availability. Duties may include research, writing and fact investigation
for cases involving constitutional and civil rights.
Internships are unpaid: However, the ACLU is happy
to assist students in the grant application process.
Qualifications: Second and Third year law students
with a demonstrated commitment to public interest work are preferred.
Timeline: Summer 2009
June-August - full-time, 40 hrs per week for 10 weeks.
Deadline March 31, 2009
